Defence Against a Front Kick

Set 1

Step to the Open side, at close range.

Perform a Scissor block - effecting a low block to the attacker's thigh.

Simultaneously strike with an upset punch or rising palm-heel strike to the jaw.

Set 2

Step to the Blind side, at close range, while performing a reverse low-section block.

Continue to circle the blocking arm, to trap the leg (with their knee in the crook of your elbow).

Either strike to the face, push the shoulder or sweep the standing leg, to take the attacker down.

Set 3

Step forward, into long stance and perform a low-section X Block.

Grip the ankle and lift the leg, exposing the groin to a front kick.

Continue to lift the leg, to take the attacker down.

Set 4

Step to the Open side and perform an outside crescent kick across the attacker's face.
