Blind Side Examples - Set 1


 
 

Medium Range

Short Range

 

Set 1

60º step to blind side, into horse riding stance. Pushing palm block.

Double punch to the ribs, third punch to the face.

Set 1

30º step, into high stance, pushing palm block.

Palm heel strike, under the attacking arm, to the chin.

Striking arm behind the head, holding it in position.

Pull your opponent onto a roundhouse knee strike, to mid-section.

 

Set 2

60º step to blind side, into horse riding stance. Pushing palm block.

Ridge-hand strike to stomach / solar plexus.

Push, to expose your opponent's back.

Downward elbow strike between shoulder blade and spine.


Set 2

30º step, into long stance, pushing palm block.

Inside elbow strike to mid section.

Control attacking arm with your striking arm, then turn into long stance and inside elbow

strike to the back of the head.

Arm lock / takedown, if required.

Long Range

Set 1

75º step, into long stance, reverse outside knife-hand block.

Side kick to the ribs, using the arm for balance and extra power.

Or

Double side kick - 1 st to the knee, 2nd to the ribs - also using the arm for balance and power.

Or

Jumping side kick. Escape.


Set 2

75º step, into long stance, reverse outside knife-hand block.

Control the attacking arm as you step your other foot behind yourself, into long stance, facing opponent.

Half-turning kick to the ribs, followed by axe kick (outside crescent kick) to the head (same leg)
