Retreating - Set 1


 
 

 

Set 1

Step back into back stance, pushing palm block (or inside knife-hand block). Continue the hip circle, to deliver a mid-section back kick.

Set 2

Small step sideways, then step the other leg backwards into long stance, reverse outside knife-hand block.

Full Turning kick under your opponent's arm, ideally delivered to the head, using the arm for balance and leverage.

 

Set 3

Small step backwards, allowing the weight to come off the now lead leg. Inside Crescent Kick to the attacking arm. Choice of counter-attack.

a. Re-chamber the leg, to deliver a side kick to mid-section (same leg)

b. Step down and spin into a back kick to mid-section

c. Step down and deliver a jumping, spinning outside crescent kick, to the head.


Set 4

Step very wide to the open side. Switch half turning kick to mid-section.
